Since I moved to a new host, I’ve yet to upload my index file to the main domain along with all my other files I maintained with Dreamhost. So for now, I’m going to repost some of my poems from time to time. Most of the poems were written after a break up a couple years ago and I can admit would be called “emo”.

Please allow me to love again!

Well folks, you may have not noticed it but the blog has been fully moved over to my new host. I’m waiting for the rest of my domain to move over to the new host so I can make some other changes. Basically, what I did was make a backup of all the tables from database on the old host. In adddition, I made a full backup of the Wordpress install from the old host.

On new host, made a sub-domain for blog.cephiros.com, processed a new wordpress install. This created a new database with a different name. On the old host, made backups of the tables. Went into the configuration panels for new database on the new host. Dropped all the tables and imported the tables from my old database.

That’s that, going with a different program for my gallery and I will start to update that more often.

Just wanted to make a quick post since I just changed to the new name servers over to my new host. If you access my site currently at this time it will still appear normal. In addition, my livejournal crossposter plugin will post this to my livejournal. I’m really nervous about this move because really my blog is the most important thing about my current website and the thing I’ve put the most work into.

I’ve already done a full SQL database backup. In addtion, I’ve done a backup of just my SQL tables. I can already import the backed up tables to the new host’s Wordpress install which made a new database. Unfortunately, I cannot change the SQL database name at this time but hopefully I can change it soon.

So, if you’re wondering what is going on with my blog, this is the reason why. I had Dreamhost for over a year but the problems I had recently and the lack of help made we want to change from them.

So, After about 4-5 emails to Dreamhost Support about being unable to access my blog they found out what the problem was. It seems that the WP-cache plugin was causing issues for the PHP code to executed over and over leading to increased CPU usage on the shared hosting. However, this has caused to me to seriously considering changing to another Hosting service since I did not have a good experience with Dreamhost recently.

I’m currently looking at Gator Hosting but it looks like Becky and I will check it out and get some more information before making any changes to our hosts. I will be hanging out with my friend Salemkitty tomorrow and probably play Dance Dance Revolution with him on Thursday.

I’m actually going to raid with my guild this Friday for our very first venture in to Gruul’s Lair to see if we can Defeat High King Mulgar and his merry bvnch. It’ll be our very first 25 man raid. I just haven’t had to desire to play much in the last 3 weeks. Mainly, I’ve decided not to play as much since I’m burned out and I want to have a more active social life.

So, I was supposed to hang out with Christa this last Friday but she had to bail because she had a rough day at work and just wanted to kick it at home. This is completely understandable but I do hope she calls me or emails me so we can reschedule a time to hang out since I think we could be awesome friends.

As for trying to hang out with my friend, Brianna, that is been harder to accomplish. Mainly because she has been gaining a more active social life as well. Hopefully we’ll be able to get together soon and hang out since she really needs to play DDR on an arcade machine.

As for one guy that I was talking to from Craigslist, I thought we were getting along very well but he suddenly stopped talking to me. I guess I’ll have to wait to dress up as Alicia. I doubt I will find someone anytime soon who wants to be my friend in and out of my alter ego and doesn’t always have to play. I might make some craigslist post in the near future.

I need to get some new make up and I have to shave but I hope to make a new picture set soon. That’s all I have to report here on this post. I’m guess you’re quite surprised that I am actually posting!

I’ve having alot of troubles with my current host: Dreamhost

Currently, I cannot access my Wordpress Blog at - Cephiros Blog

I emailed there support and they told me that my site was using too much cpu usage on the shared host. They said it could be caused by a bad script, a bad plugin, search engine robots and image linking. I’ve made sure there is no more image linking by setting up htmaccess. I’ve added robots.txt to all to my domain and all sub-domains. I’ve setup cpu usage to be watched and logged. I will checked that out since I need more than 24 hours for logs to be generated since turning it on.

If I cannot get these issues resolved then I will most likely move to another host since their support seems to be less than helpful.

I’m almost done with my resume and I will be applying for alot of jobs that are part time because I’m in school full time. Thinking about taking up french again if I want to join Peace Corps. I might take Japanese too as well. I have not decided. One of the jobs I am looking at is Student Government at PCC.

I have family visiting since my nephew has a appointment at OHSU.
