Cephiros, The One Winged Angel

So far this week, I’ve gone to 2 major shopping centers in Bangkok. Siam Square to see Siam Paragon, MBK, and Siam Discovery. I also went to Central Plaza Ladprao. I was in the constant search for the only Dance Dance Revolution machine in the whole country of Thailand. I found it at Central Plaza Ladprao. The taxi fare and transit fare to both places this week were not expensive compared to the travel distance and how much it would have costed in the United States.

One of the most interesting things that I found here in Thailand in terms of arcade machines in Guitar Hero, totally hacked machine, its an American game that uses a guitar controller. However, on the machines here they use the pop’n music type controls for those who don’t know what that is. They are little domed buttons that were the replacement for the fret buttons and such. I’ve wow’d the locals here but I mean, the game is much easier in this form. 

2 weeks and I’ll be back home and in the United States. I am missing home alot. I miss my friends there and my online friends. I miss my puppy, Aeris and I miss my cat, Seal. I miss playing and raiding in World of Warcraft. I like it here but I am really looking foward to getting home! In addition, I don’t like being in a time that is 15 hours ahead of my home time zone. 

This is the very last week of school, looks like I might get 3 A’s and a D or 3 A’s and a C. Yes, I’ve really slacking on that last class but it should not be too bad on my overall gpa and it is still credit if I get the D.

I’m kinda missing America at the moment. I miss my friends both online and offline. My friend is almost out of this hospital and some am I. I’m doing very well. We met one of our friends here in Thailand. His name is Reto, I think that’s how you spell it. He’s from Sweden and he’s been living in Thailand for the last 16 years. He speaks a fair amount of Thai and has kinda been our unoffcial translator.

I’m enjoying this time but as I said, I miss all my friends and I miss my dog anc cat alot too. I love my Aeris puppy and Seal kitty. Hope everyone is having a good weekend after the holiday.

It’s current 9:33am and I’m sitting in the Portland International Airport. We got up really early for our flight since we thought it would be leaving around 10:11am. The flight to San Fran is going to be late so we were moved to Seattle for the flight to Tokyo, Japan. It will be a shorter flight there and we will have a longer layover there. We’ll still arrive in Thailand around the same time.

The reason why I love the PDX airport is because they have free wireless internet throughout most of the terminals. I’m not looking foward to the time difference. I called my friend Darrin and I’ve called my grandparents. I’ve talked to my mother last night.
